Nairobi, Kenya (AQRI.net) — Kenyan authorities have tied Hashim Dagane Muhumed—already in custody for the shocking triple murder of three Somali women—to a fourth grisly killing. This revelation has deepened community outrage in Nairobi, a city grappling with a surge in violence against women.

Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) announced on November 6 that Muhumed is now the prime suspect in the murder of 27-year-old Deka Abdinoor Gorone. She was last seen on October 29 at a Quickmart supermarket before entering an apartment in Lavington with Muhumed. Two days later, CCTV footage captured him leaving with two large bags, believed to contain her dismembered remains. The bags were later discovered abandoned at Lang’ata Cemetery.

Speaking to reporters, DCI Director Amin Mohamed revealed that the landlord of the Lavington apartment is also under investigation. After reportedly discovering the gruesome crime scene, the landlord allegedly attempted to cover up the murder by repainting and cleaning the apartment before fleeing. “The manhunt for the landlord is ongoing. It’s only a matter of time,” Mohamed stated.

Muhumed is already facing charges for the October 21 abduction and murder of three Somali women from Nairobi’s Eastleigh neighborhood: Amina Abdirashid, her aunt Waris Dahabo Daud, and 12-year-old Nuseiba Abdi Mohammed. Their bodies, discovered in various locations across Nairobi and Machakos County, showed signs of severe violence, including mutilation and sexual assault.

The new connection to Gorone’s murder has only fueled public anger, with activists and community leaders calling for swift justice. “The safety of women in Nairobi has never felt more threatened,” said Fatuma Haji, a local women’s rights advocate.

Muhumed’s arrest on October 27 followed an intensive manhunt that ended in Nairobi’s Starehe district.
